Rupert Huber has been a freelance composer since 1988, his written music (primarily for piano) explores the architecture of sound by describing a process and a space. He studied composition in Vienna and is an alumnus of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin residency. Since then his music activities covered a wide spectrum, from commissioned compositions (Wiener Festwochen, Ars Electronica Festival) and film and TV soundtracks (Freud’s Lost Neighbors: Berggasse 19, C.S.I. Miami, Sex and the City) all the way to radio (ORF, Deutschlandradio). Rupert, together with Richard Dorfmeister, started the group TOSCA, which has released 17 albums over the last 25 years and even won a Amadeus Music Award.
