Tanya Dimitrova is the founder of Science Journal for Kids: a nonprofit open-access platform for making the latest scientific discoveries accessible to children worldwide. Tanya has engaged in many roles over the years, and in retrospect the dots all connect up to her present mission: she was a high school science teacher in Texas, an environmental reporter and popular science magazine editor in California, a cardiology assistant in Germany and an Army medic in South Korea. Tanya has a Bachelor in Environmental Science from University of London and a Masters in Energy and Resources from UC Berkeley. She lives in Bulgaria, where she is also a full-time mom to her 2-year-old daughter. Tanya is a firm believer that education (especially science education) is the most effective means of improving the world.
